Besides uploading music, a plug in called sideload lets users add (or side-load) free music that they found on the Internet to their MP3tunes Locker with a single click. Sideload.com gathers those files.

Sideload.com is an easy way to find great MP3 files from bands all over the Internet. You can quickly preview tracks and store them permanently in your Locker with one click!

To download the MP3s click on the tracks’ title and scroll down to the link that says: Download this track. Right click and save as.

Sideload.com collects MP3s that are available for free directly from Internet. They assume that these MP3s are legal. You can read all about it in the FAQ

RCRD LBL – MP3 music downloads

RCRD LBL is a network of online record labels and blogs serving up fresh new music downloads!

You can choose between Artists, Labels and Latest menu’s. In Artist there is an alphabetical search, a most recent and a most popular list of artists. Once you choose a release, it can be streamed (listened to), downloaded or shared (via e-mail). Songs can also be embedded on you’re own blog by clicking on the “Embed this track on your site”-link. To do that, you’ll first have to click on a particular song first. Clicking on “blog” lets you see what bloggers write about the song.

Looking for a specific genre? Click on the “genre” button in the menu near the middel of the page. The genres are organized in a tag-cloud like manner.

You can download the music for free provided it is being used for personal, non-commercial use. All music on RCRD LBL is free and legally available for downloading when offered. Some of the music is published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial license.

Better Propaganda – MP3 downloads

betterPropaganda offers 100 percent independent music. The magazine showcases artists from more than 600 independent labels. On betterPropaganda you’ll find thousands of free and legal downloads.

The site is easy to use. Look in the top menu for “find music” and go to the divers music collection pages. Choose between new MP3s, Popular music, artist lists, … I lets you play all the songs on the page by clicking the play link. A player with cover art, similar songs, playlists, … will popup. Or you can download the music.

Don’t know what to pick? Read the many reviews and news items under the “our picks” menu. Interested in what the guys at bP like? Browse the “staff picks”.

If you want to search by genre go to the “find music” menu and choose “most popular”. On the right there is a window listing “other charts”. There is a section for Hip Hop, Rock and Electronic. The “show somilar music” link in the player is particularly handy for browsing the site by genre.
